In Francophone Africa there was an attempt from La Tribune Afrique and/or RFI to connect with their ausience on whatsApp but it was more a story like ie short video to redirect to their website I'm sure media can be more creative and leverage micropaymebt enabled by mobile money.
Perhaps this strategy can be replicated in India.
